"Bono gives an absolute virtuoso performance.
He is a poet on the E-Bass - fantastic"
Süddeutsche Zeitung, German Press

From the age of five Jacques wanted to make music. He dreamed of being a concert pianist on stage. However his mother didn't have much money. So instead of a grand piano he asked for a guitar.
As a teenager he started playing the electric guitar. After his first gig Mick Thackeray, guitarist with Atomic Rooster, approached him and asked "Why don't you play electric bass?" So Jacques tried the E-Bass and a wonderful relationship started.
Several years later and by now a professional musician, Jacques came across the music of Johann Sebastian Bach's cello-suites. Again he had his dream of being the concert pianist. But with one difference; the grand piano was now the E-Bass. "Cello-suites? Give up, that won't work," said his colleagues. The more Jacques was told that it was impossible to play high quality cello-suites on the E-Bass, the more he became obsessed by the idea.
Now he can show that it is possible. Listen to him - on this CD. Live the experience - at his concerts. Bach`s music for cello played without a bow, as part of an evenings solo performance. Audiences, critics and musicians have all enthused about his passionate performances.
